Contact Your Elected Official
Personal interactions between you and your government officials at both the state and federal levels can make a real difference.
We invite you to share the work of North Carolina’s hospitals and healthcare systems and advocate for legislation and programs that support expanding access to care and coverage in our state.
By getting involved, you will help North Carolina’s healthcare facilities continue to serve and strengthen their communities and our nation.
How do I find my elected official?
North Carolinians are represented in the N.C. House of Representatives, the N.C. Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
Visit the N.C. General Assembly website and search using your address to find your legislators, as well as their contact information.
How can I contact them?
You can email your representatives, write a letter, or call their offices.
What should I say?
Don’t feel nervous to call your representatives – they take calls from constituents regularly! You will typically speak to a member of their staff. You can encourage your representative to vote yes or no on particular legislation, or simply share your perspective on the issues that matter most to you.
