For Deb Rogers, clinical director of emergency services at CarolinaEast Health System, the surge of COVID hospitalizations has been hard. What looked like a trickle of COVID patients has now increased with the Delta variant. And it’s not only concerning for her role as a nurse but her role as a grandmother.

“I have grandchildren and I don’t want their life to be like this. I want them to have the protection and the freedom that we have,” Rogers said.

Every year they get a flu shot to protect themselves. Now, a vaccination against COVID-19 is the answer to minimizing hospitalizations and COVID-related deaths.
